The Berkey Light Water Filtration System

The Berkey Light water filter system is a light-weight, economical alternative to the stainless steel models. It's designed for up to 10 people and holds up to 2.5 gallons of filtered water. It's made of food grade, see thru poly material that is nearly indestructible and comes with an elevated base.

The Berkey Light water filter system can be used in any setting, but it was originally designed to be a light-weight unit that is ideally suited for outdoor and emergency use. It produces the same quality and quantity of water as the stainless steel models but at a more economical price.

Purification Capabilities:

• This powerful system purifies both treated water and untreated raw water from such sources as remote lakes, streams, stagnant ponds and water supplies in foreign countries where regulations may be substandard at best.
• It removes pathogenic bacteria, cysts and parasites entirely and extracts harmful chemicals such as herbicides, pesticides, VOCs, organic solvents, radon 222 and trihalomethanes.
• Perfect for outdoor activities and a must in hostile environments where electricity, water pressure or treated water may not be available.
• It also reduces nitrates, nitrites and unhealthy minerals such as lead and mercury.
• This system is so powerful it can remove red food coloring from water without removing the beneficial minerals your body needs.

Features:

• Each Berkey Water Filtration System is comprised of two chambers. The upper chamber where the filters are located, and the lower chamber where the purified water is stored. Water is poured into the upper chamber. Gravity then draws this water through the exclusive purification elements (filters) where contaminates are captured. The purified water then collects in the lower chamber where it can be drawn through the spigot.
  
• The see through container makes it easy to determine the amount of water in the upper container without the need to have the waterview spigot. 
• The elevated base makes it possible to place a drinking water glass under the spigot without having the unit on the edge of the counter.
• The light-weight poly material is extremely durable making it dent and shatter proof. 
•  It produces the same quality and quantity of water as the stainless steel models at a more economical price. 
• All Berkey Light Water Filter units come with 2 filters and 2 plugs.
• If at some time in the future you find you need a higher water flow rate, simply remove the plugs from the upper container and add 2 additional filters (bringing the total to 4).  With the 2 additional filters, the Berkey Light will produce up to 7 gallons of purified water per hour.
• This unit comes with complete instructions and everything you need to start enjoying the benefits of great tasting purified drinking water anywhere you go.
• A complete stand-alone gravity filter system.  Requires no electricity.  Does not need to be hooked up to your plumbing system.
